James has worked with board members and senior management for many companies in the UK, Europe and USA. Recent clients include Allied Domecq, Reed Elsevier, GUS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bain & Company, BskyB and BAT. He has also worked on major equity and debt issues in UK, Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Italy and Netherlands. In addition he has undertaken projects for many investment banks and financial institutions, leading politicians and public figures. He teaches at the London Business School.

He served all over the world with the British Army including Northern Ireland, Angola, Kenya, Bosnia, Germany and Belize. He worked for the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia Herzegovina during the elections in 1996. This followed three years working for HM The Queen in her private office for which he was awarded an MVO.

James has a degree in Biological Sciences and is qualified by the SFA as a Registered Representative
